A Foiled Kidnapping and Jealous Rages
14th of Rain's Hand, 428 3E
Today began another work-week, but at least for now Neldor and I are both working daylight hours and today our assignment was nothing more than scouting the roads and watching for bandits and dangerous animals. The bandits were absent. As for dangerous animals, I did see a small pack of wolves (regular wolves), but they were avoiding settlements and were making their way back up north. Although I kept an eye on them, I left them to their migration back up to Dagon Fel.
With our own lives being thankfully quiet, I have nothing to mention today other than the news reports and of course what happened with Constance and Yanna. First the news.
"What's up with my Nelly-poo?" asked Morgana le Hex. "I just want us to be happy together. I mean, he is all I think about. Why can't he see me for who I really am? A loving and compassionate person who just happens to be camping outside his house."

When I first read this story I wondered what Master Neloth and his friend Gilvoth thought about this crazy person hanging around outside of their Ascadian Isles home, but it appears that at least Neloth was not at home. He was elsewhere and otherwise occupied.
Master Neloth was in a fury after rumors that Fennorian Ravenwatch had been seen cavorting with his romantic interest reached his ears. Fennorian was apparently hiding out, worried that Neloth may decide to get physical on his pretty face.

I've heard through the comberry vine that Fennorian has become romantically involved with one of Godonir's she-wolves, a she-wolf who has also spent some time with Master Neloth. Although the relationships of other people are none of my business, I must admit that this whole thing confuses me. Master Neloth allegedly gets very angry and jealous if anyone else gets involved with Usanda Moon Leaf, yet he himself remains obsessed with Sarasvati. And is Neloth aware that Usanda has an intimate relationship with Godonir? This whole thing sounds like a tangled mess.
Oh well, it's none of my business and I can give thanks that I'm in a loving, secure relationship without such complications. On to other news.
Anaril was able to put a stop to the abduction that was to take place this afternoon (yes, everything had been put in place to play out exactly as Godonir had described). Yanna's plan was gently explained to Constance who at first could not believe that someone whom she had regarded as an older sister would want to do such a horrible thing to her. Then she was shown the letter and confirmed that the hand-writing was indeed Yanna's.
Constance moved in with Sifina this afternoon and already seems to be happy there. Using her communicator, she took images of her new bedroom and sent them to those she considers friends, including myself. The room does indeed look clean and cozy, though the walls are bare at the moment. Constance mentioned this, saying;
Sifina said she didn't hang any pictures so that I could hang whatever I want on the walls. She said I'm to make the room my own. Even without pictures on the walls, I've never had a room this nice in my entire life! And it's my very own!

I couldn't help but smile as I read her message. Now hopefully this girl's life can be turned around and go in a far more positive direction.
As for Yanna, as I write this she is locked in a prison cell. It's said that for quite a while she stood near the locked cell door and screamed, "I've been framed! FRAMED! Whoever did this will pay! I have powerful friends! You can't keep me locked in here forever!"

When this didn't get Yanna the attention she wanted, she started threatening law enforcement with Godonir of all people, claiming that he would come for her and break her out. If she only knew....
I have no idea how long Yanna will be locked up. Usually people are able to get out of prison by either paying a fine or remaining in prison for a designated amount of time. No doubt Yanna's fine for planning a kidnapping is a large one, but only law enforcement knows the exact amount. All any of us know is that we should enjoy this time that Yanna is locked away while it lasts. Sooner or later she will be released. That's just the unfortunate reality.
