It's been a little over a week since my last entry. Although Neldor and I are taking a very light course load at A.I.U, our studies still keep us quite busy as we seek to keep on top of them along with tending to farm chores. Although I'm feeling tired at the moment, I'm making time to write this entry due to some things that occurred today.

The first bit of news that we heard this morning is that Godonir has come out of hiding. Now that he's had time to lick his wounds and allow his bruises to heal, he's out for revenge and today he started with Basnik;

Basnik Oak Tender found himself at a loss for words recently after falling to opponent Godonir Black Claw. We suspect he was glad to still be breathing after the ordeal. As for the Feral, his only comment was a gutteral growl and an attempted swipe at the crowd that had formed to watch the fight.

As soon as I heard about this I went to my laboratory and made dozens of "Flasks of Angry Bees", which is exactly what the name says; a magical bottle of angry bees that will attack anyone the flask is thrown at. I've insisted that Neldor carry some flasks with him at all times and even made some for his band-mates (although Sarasvati, being from a powerful Telvanni family, has likely already made sure that Thorinor is armed with such enchantments).

Godonir is the last person I wanted to think about today, for I had my midterm exam early this morning. Although I have studied hard for it, I didn't want to just take for granted that I knew all of the material. My loyal and devoted sister on the other hand, was so confident that I would pass that she suggested that the two of us go to the tea house for tea and cake as soon as my class was dismissed.

Acacia was seated on one of the campus benches when I exited the Art and Music Building. Seeing me, she rose to her feet and inquired with a smile, "How did it go? As if I have to ask."

With a giddy laugh, I answered, "Somehow I passed with flying colors."

She replied, "No 'somehows' about it. Not with the art tutors that our father hired for each of us."

Grimacing at the mention of the former king, I asked a bit warily, "Speaking of our father, have you heard anything else about him or grandmother?"

Her smile faded a bit as she answered, "Nothing definite. The Grand Council wants to put them somewhere where an eye can constantly be kept on them. Hopefully they'll be kept on the mainland. The last thing either of us needs is for them to be brought to Vvardenfell."

I agreed, "Even the Molag Amur or the Sheogorad would be too close."

Before anything else could be said, we heard a voice with a Valenwood accent say, "Well hello, pretty. I've missed you." Annoyed, I turned in the direction of the voice and saw Godonir. He briefly turned his faintly glowing eyes toward Acacia as he added, "Hello, Pretty's sister, who is also quite pretty herself."

Fortunately for Acacia we are half-sisters and she has no genetic connection to Glorawen and Andravan, otherwise Godonir would probably be just as interested in her as he is in me.

Glaring at Godonir, I didn't even try to keep the annoyance out of my voice as I said, "Oh, it's you."

He replied in a mock reproachful tone, "Now now, why the tone? Is it because of that embarrassing business with your picture that Yanna broadcasted over the network?"

"Among other things. I don't like what you did to Basnik this morning," I answered.

He shrugged and said, "Clever Prank ganged up on me. I owe them all beating. Neldor has classes here later on this morning, does he not? Based on what I've observed, he comes here a little before ten o'clock. I wonder; when he steps out of the LLAMA booth, can he reach the door of this building before I reach him?"

At that I swept forward so that we were only inches apart and snapped as I held up my wrist "Go ahead! Bite me again! This time I will allow the Lycanthropy to fully take hold!"

Acacia, standing a couple of feet behind me, asked in a surprised and fearful tone, "Aeronwen?"

Keeping my glare on Godonir, I practically snarled as I poked him in the chest with my finger, "But let me make this clear; although I will likely become a Pack Leader like my great grandparents, that does not mean that I'll be your Pack Leader! I swear to Azura that if you so much as scratch Neldor, I and my dire wolves will be after you! Not only that, Glorawen and Andravan will be so angry that they will leave Hircine's realm and be after you as well. That means you will have three furious Pack Leaders attacking you along with nine unkillable dire wolves!" After pausing a moment, I added, "There won't be enough left of you to put in a snuff box!"

At the mention of my great grandparents, who seem to be two individuals whom Godonir actually fears, his eyes widened ever so slightly. He regained his composure quickly however and replied with a smirk, "It's that intensity of yours that makes you practically irresistable to me. Very well, I will not seek out the honorable Oak Singer. Now, since our first agreement has been working so well, how about we set up another one?"

Acacia asked warily, "What agreement?"

Again turning his eyes toward her, Godonir explained, "Your sister and I agreed that as long as she doesn't raise a weapon against me, I won't bite her unless she asks me to." He smirked a bit before adding, "I suppose I could bite her now since she just demanded that I do so."

Not about to actually allow him to bite me, I demanded, "What other agreement are you suggesting?"

Returning his attention to me, he answered, "In return for me not taking vengeance on your new husband, you give me a kiss."

"I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick!"

He chucked a bit before replied as he placed his hand on his chest, "Oh no, don't do that. Only a true monster would ever want eyes such as yours to be damaged. Very well, it was worth a try. I'll refrain from giving Neldor a good thrashing in honor of the mutual respect you and I have for each other."

With a snide laugh, I responded with, "Respect? You don't respect me any more than I respect you. In fact I don't think you have any respect for anyone, especially not for females."

He frowned a bit as he stated, "That's along lines of what Usandra said when she recently told me that she and I will not be having relations with each other anymore. Apparently she was quite disgusted about that business with your picture."

"Imagine that."

With a pretend mournful sigh, Godonir continued, "So Usandra has...broken up with me. Not that we were actually a couple to begin with. Merriweather is also rather uptight about the whole thing. She told me that if I ever call her by your name she'll cut my antlers off."

Wincing, I took a couple of steps back as I said, "I don't want or need to hear any more about this."

His smirk returned as he replied, "All right, all right. I certainly don't want you to feel uncomfortable. In fact that's why I changed my mind about the original reason I came out here. You see, I saw on the notice board that the art classes are always looking for people who are willing to pose nude. I thought of volunteering for your class, but I don't want you to feel flustered."

Now it was my turn to smirk as I said, "Oh, I don't think I would become flustered, but the professor would likely ask me to leave the classroom due to my being unable to keep from laughing."

As Acacia continued to stand nearby and watch us warily, Godonir laughed and stated, "Ah, your feisty nature lodges you even deeper into my heart."

I shot back, "Oh no, that's such a dark and stony place. I hear even Cold Harbor is more cheerful."

Following another laugh, he said to Acacia, "Please give Darkfell my warmest regards. Now if you ladies will excuse me, I need to find some smokey quartz and other gems for the Grouches of Jelly Bean Field."

Now it was Acacia's turn to scowl at him, for she certainly hasn't forgotten the time that Godonir ambushed Darkfell and beat him up. As Godonir departed the campus by way of the LLAMA booth, Acacia stated, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but that mer is worse than Tanor the Sleaze."

I agreed, "At least Tanor isn't dangerous, and he doesn't even attempt to seduce anyone like us whom he knows he has no chance with." Not wanting to allow Godonir to ruin the day, I added, "Let's get to the tea house. Now that my midterm exams are over I finally feel like I can relax."

We had a nice afternoon enjoying the warm atmosphere of the tea house and discussed the local gossip. I asked how Aryc's wife Amaryllis was doing and Acacia told me that the lady is going through typical morning sickness, but otherwise is going very well. According to Samia, Aryc and Amaryllis are having twins so the new nursery will need to be set up for two babies.

Later in the day when I had returned home and while Neldor was at the campus taking his own midterm exams, this bit of news came over the radio;

With a new child on the way, Samia and Fargoth seemed a little shell shocked recently. "Well, we were planning to have some eventually," noted Samia. "I guess better sooner than later."

Fargoth on the other hand had little to say and simply stared blankly at a nearby tree.

Oh dear. Well, at least they are already engaged and the child is not the result of a casual encounter. In fact at the end of this bit of news was a notice that Samia and Fargoth had moved up their wedding date and will be having a small private ceremony so that more of their funds can go toward things they really need, such as a crib and other baby supplies.

So now the list of ladies who are currently pregnant includes Therana, Ashara, Amaryllis, and now Samia. There must be something in the water.

Following the notice about Fargoth and Samia came this bit of gossip;

Romance is in the air for Anaril of Sunhold and Vallisara of Shimmerene as they were seen parading their newfound affections all over town.

I want to be happy for those two. I really do. On the surface they look perfect for each other with both of them being from noble Altmer families, but Vallisara tends to be rather...flighty...while Anaril is much calmer and more down to earth. Perhaps they will balance each other out. I suppose in time we'll see.

The last two things I wanted to mention; First, Basnik has recovered from his meeting with Godonir. At first Neldor and his bandmates thought they would have to cancel tonight's show at the Golden Antler Tavern, but after taking a couple of healing potions Basnik showed that he was more than able to play bass with Clever Prank, so the show went on.

Lastly; when I first started this journal I mentioned that Thorinor and Sarasvati had a pair of kittens named Peaches and Cream. Well, this evening Sarasvati sent us an image that she recently took of the adorable felines and I see that those tiny kittens have grown into a pair of gorgeous cats. Seeing the picture reminded me that although my little Ivy isn't yet full grown, before long she will no longer be a kitten. One of these days I'll look at her and see a beautiful adult cat. Oh well. Like children, kittens grow up.

Incidentally, Usandra really did break things off with Godonir in the game. They were at "Romantic Interest" with each other but now are down to just the "Friend" level. Godonir's mood was "Angry" while Usandra's was "Very Happy", which is what made me think that she was the one who broke things off. The timing worked so well that I had to work it into the fanfic.
