It seemed like it was only a few weeks ago that a mysterious woman named Carolynn Kringle showed up at our door while we were living on Lokken Island and presented us with a gift of a tiny white puppy and kitten. Those tiny little snowballs have grown up and now we have a gorgeous fluffy white Ragdoll cat and an equally gorgeous and much larger Samoyed dog.

We're going to have to get a collar for Casper. I hate to put one on him because it will create a dent in his beautiful full neck hair, but in order to walk him on a leash he has to have a collar. Now that he's grown we plan to take him to the town dog park on days when there are of "town dog play dates" going on.

I suppose Ivy should have a collar as well, even though a collar would have the same effect on the hair around her neck. She looks so beautiful without one, but it would be best if she has a collar and identification tag just in case she ever goes off the property (not that she seems to have much interest in exploring the world outside our property fence).

Now that she's full grown, Ivy tends to get into things that she had no hope of interacting with when she was a kitten. One of her favorite places to play is the bathtub. I'm not sure why she finds the drain and the faucets so entertaining, but she leaps into the tub a few times every day.

For Casper's birthday we got him a new bed, for there is no way that he can fit into the little bed he slept in when he was a puppy. After we brought the new bed into the house and put it at the end of the upstairs hallway, Casper gratefully curled up in it, yawned, and took a nap.

And so our first set of "babies" are all grown up, but at least these little ones won't be moving out. They may be done growing, but they are both perfectly content to continue to be cared for and spoiled by their Bosmer parents.

Now my last bit of news for the day which is not so light-hearted; the former King and the former Queen Mother are now on Vvardenfell and have been moved into a large house on the edge of town. I have not seen them yet, but I did go by the new home that they have been assigned to when I took today's harvest to the grocer's. To be honest I think the house is far nicer than either of them deserve, but then I realized that they are constantly under guard so more room is needed for those who have the task of making sure that Helseth and Barenziah don't cause any trouble.

Members of the Grand Council sent word to Acacia and myself saying that we are both permitted to visit our father and grandmother if we wish, but we must schedule an appointment first. I suppose it was kind of the Council to allow us to visit, but neither Acacia or I have any desire to see the mer who regards us both as political pawns rather than daughters. Not to mention that if Helseth were still the king he would likely order Darkfell's and Neldor's execution for marrying his daughters without royal permission. Never mind the fact that we were both private citizens at the time of our weddings.

Again, why did Helseth and Barenziah have to be brought here of all places? Now we have to worry about the two of them plotting a return to power rather than just relaxing and enjoying our quiet, ordinary lives. Somehow I have to stop worrying about this and do soem studying so I'm prepared for my classes at A.I.U. in the morning.

Perhaps after I get back from class tomorrow I'll continue working on my manuscript. I've worked out how to do the chapter where the main character is born and I'd like to get it written down before it slips from my mind. While I'm enjoying writing it, I don't think I'd ever want anyone to read it. For one thing many might think that the main character is supposed to be me, and that is not the case.

Yes, the main character is blonde, she's a loner and quiet sort, she likes animals, learns how to ride horses at an early age and is an artist, but she's not a self-insert. True, she and I are very similar, but she's not a self-insert.
