Yesterday's news was not all that exciting, but it made up for it today, but first I wanted to mention that I sighted one of our little fox friends when I was coming home from today's class at A.I.U. As I was approaching the LLAMA booth I saw Sifina's pinto donkey foal trotting along the side of the road, and bounding along beside him was Frost. The gray fox appeared for all the world to be escorting the little donkey back home.

Whatever the case, the foal is lucky that Frost is indeed a fox rather than a species of larger canine. Anything larger than a fox would have viewed the baby donkey as prey. As it is there are thylacines, possibly wolves, and maybe even hyenas around, so a young equine should not be running loose all by itself. Had the donkey been further away from home I would have used Beast Tongue to lead him to Sifina's myself, but he seemed to be in good hands...or in this case paws...with Frost.

Another bit of personal news, my grandmother seems to be settling into her new life in New Pelagiad. No, I have not seen her myself, but Neldor told me he saw her seated at one of the network devices within the university library. He had never seen her before today but knew who she was when one of his classmates pointed her out. Needless to say, Barenziah's guards were nearby and making sure that my grandmother wasn't communicating with anyone who might give her or the former king aid.

I commented to Neldor, "I wonder what she was looking at on the network."

He replied, "Yanna's network journal. I could overhear the recording of Yanna ranting about what a bastard Godonir is."

With a soft laugh, I said, "Well, that journal may be stupid, but I have to admit that it's morbidly entertaining."

As far as the offical news that was broadcasted over the network, the announcer had this to say;

Dagoth Vemyn was summoned to Aryc of Silvervale's office at town hall this afternoon to explain the large sums of money that were being deposited into the business account of Dagoth Gilvoth.

Vemyn was heard to exclaim, "It is not blood money, so stop calling it that! Yes, my brother is an annoying, uptight shrieker who needs to remove the rod that is shoved up his posterior, but he is a legitimate business mer. Anything you may have heard to the contrary is mere speculation!"

Aryc stated calmly, "We examined the beans that Gilvoth and Neloth have been growing and found that they are not fit for consumption. In fact they are quite deadly. I doubt this was by accident."

With a snort Vemyn repled, "All that means is that Gilvoth and Neloth know nothing about farming! I don't know anything else about those beans! They are so bright and come in many cheerful colors...there mere sight of them annoys me!"

And the other news story that was broadcasted; Master Neloth is in trouble in again.

"Crassius Curio was making googly eyes at me!" Master Neloth exclaimed after kicking Crassius in the groin earlier today. "He had it coming! That pervert should just keep those eyes of his to the ground!"

Anaril explained as he cuffed Neloth and escorted him to the town prison, "Crassius staring at you was not a legitimate reason for you to kick him."

But that is not where the story ends. I heard the rest of what happened from Acacia who heard it from Darkfell. Just as Anaril had removed the cuffs from Neloth's wrist and was preparing to lock him in a cell, Neloth turned around and gave Anaril a few rapid slaps across the face. This resulted in Anaril giving Neloth a beating. I'm certain that this Altmer knight who had once been King Reman's Champion did not use his full strength. If he had, Neloth would have quite a few broken bones rather that just bruises. At the time I'm writing this Neloth is in one of the sickrooms at the healing center (securely cuffed to one of the bed-rails). The way he is griping and wailing one would think that Anaril had managed to grind Neloth's bones into powder.

So that was today's entertainment. The last thing I want to mention, just to keep track of things, our sterility amulet has been put away in my jewelry box. Now Neldor and I will just...proceed...without it and see what happens.

*~*~*

The last part about Neloth slapping Anaril was inspired by the sim-Neloth doing just that to sim-Anaril. As soon as I had the screenshot I wanted and released them from posing, Neloth turned toward Anaril and slapped him. This led to Anaril jumping on Neloth and giving him a hard beating. When it was time to save and close out the game, Neloth had just been admitted into the hospital. These characters never fail to crack me up.
