Crassius Curio was less than amused with Erandre Dense after the loon broke Crassius' Dinner Party Perfect Chair.

"Really? I thought you were supposed to beat it with a stick. Did I not read that in the manual that the large white rabbit was handing out earlier?"

I'm really curious about how Erandre managed to get inside Curio Manor because I highly doubt that Crassius invited him.

Smash! Kapow! Blam! And down went Sophelia LaChance in a heap after attempting to engage the vampire hunter Arille in single handed combat! Unfortunately the vampire was no match for the well conditioned hunter and was unable to put up much of a fight.

Arrille obviously invested in some combat training. Being able to fight off a vampire, even a fledgling vampire, is quite impressive.

Besides being amusing, another reason to mention the news is that it gives me something else to report besides the fact that another work week has become and Neldor and I continue to struggle to make ends meet as ride out the late winter. We are so eager for spring when we can start to plant crops for food and alchemy ingredients.

After leaving for the guild hall Neldor and I didn't see each other much today. Someone in the area is continuing to summon pests such as overly large spiders and giant rats, and it's members of the Adventurers Guild who has to go and deal with it. While Neldor and Thorinor were assigned with disposing of the spiders in the business building, Sarasvati and I were tasked with eliminating the giant rats which had decided to make their nests within and around the mausoleum. Both were unpleasant jobs that took most of the day to complete.

At the end of this tiring day we came home to find this week's tax bill in the mailbox. As Neldor and I sat on the sofa after having dinner (bowls of left-over beef stew), Neldor asked, "Do we have enough to cover the bill?"

With a tired smile, I answered, "Not right now, but we will tomorrow after putting in another work day."

At least I hope what I earn tomorrow is enough. We have both moved up another level in rank so our schedules are different. Neldor has tomorrow off so I will be the only one of us on duty at the guild hall. No doubt he plans to go play his guitar for tips somewhere to try to bring in a little extra income.

And that was the extent of our day; work hard, come home, have dinner, then try to get some rest. I realized after speaking with Acacia yesterday about her plans to marry Darkfell that Neldor and I have not spoken of marriage for quite a while. There just hasn't been the time or energy to think about it. First Wulfren ran off and dumped the huge task of ruling Lokken on us, now we're trying to build up our savings and not sink into debt since returning to Vvardenfell. We probably won't even be able to consider tying the not until some time in the spring. Until now we continue to adhere to propriety and sleep on opposite sides of the house. We briefly considered turning the hayloft above the barn into an apartment for one of us, but right now it's far too cold for anyone to live out there. We would have to install a wood stove to keep it warm, and that would require funds that we just can't spare.

With not much else to report I'll end this entry with one more news story that came out this evening;

Revenge of the Nerds! Ashara is suspected in the recent sabotage of a Llama Stand End Table at a local ruffian's house. Master Neloth was steaming mad about the incident and has vowed revenge!

For someone who claims to not want to be bothered, Master Neloth seems to end up being featured in the news a lot.

Sophelia keeps getting into trouble, lol.

But it's fun bothering Neloth!
