Work schedules have been changed yet again. Or at least Neldor's has. Now he is working more desirable hours; 7AM to 2PM. I on the other hand am still on the night schedule and Neldor is not happy about that at all. To make matter's worse, tonight is the full moon and the odd green tint is once again in the air, signaling that there are zombies roaming around the Ascadian Isles.

As I was preparing to go upstairs to my room for some sleep, Neldor asked, "How am I supposed to sleep tonight while you're out there with the zombies?"

I assured him, "I'll be fine. I'm not a frightened fragile banished princess anymore. And no, you're not going to accompany me into town. You need get rested up for your work hours in the morning."

Furrowing his brow, Neldor said, "Then at least take the LLAMA into town. Don't ride your bike."

The "LLAMA" he was speaking of is a network of booths that have been placed around the Ascadian Isles and work like the old Propylon Networks in the ancient Dunmer strongholds. Each booth has its own unique number, and on the inner back walls of the booths is a device with numbered keys as well as a chart listing all of the booths and their assigned numbers. One simply pushes the numbered keys to enter the number of the booth they wish to travel to and they are immediately teleported there.

The Mages Guild is not happy about about the LLAMA network since people are using the booths rather than the guild guides but...that's just how things work. A new type of technology is developed and the old way of doing things tends to be pushed out. The tax payers were the ones who paid for the booths so their not going to refuse to use them just because the Imperial Guild of Mages is unhappy about it.

Normally I don't mind riding my bike into town, but Neldor was right; the LLAMA was a far safer way of getting to the guild hall since there was no telling where a zombie might be roaming around, so I agreed to his request.

Poor Neldor wanted to stay awake to see me off, but already tired and now having to adjust to being on an entirely different schedule, he fell asleep on the sofa in the living room. Not wanting to wake him, I laid a blanket over him and kissed his forehead before heading out into the green tinged evening.

As soon as I had closed and locked the door behind me I heard a gutteral moan from only a couple of yards away. To my dismay there as a zombie, which appeared to have once been a male Breton, shuffling along right outside our property fence. This is the first time a zombie has been seen in this area of the Ascadian Isles. Considering the fact that Neldor and I recently destroyed a nest of zombies, I find myself wondering if the necromancer who is creating them deliberately sent this Breton zombie to roam around our home. Or it could be that this one was just wandering around and somehow managed to get out this far without anyone seeing and destroying it.

Making as little noise as possible, I drew a strong fire enchanted arrow from my quiver, dropped down on one knee and took aim with my bow. At such a close range it wasn't difficult for me to send the arrow through the zombie's head. Letting out a groan, the zombie fell over backward and sprawled motionless on the ground along the road.

A zombie, even a destroyed one, isn't exactly a pleasant thing to have sprawled in front of your home, but since I was going into town anyway I was be able to notify the proper authorites and arrange for the corpse wagon to come out and collect the body. I certainly don't envy the people who have that job.

One of the LLAMA booths is next to a small pond that's right across the road from our house, so I only had to run a few yards to reach it. I punched in the number for the booth that is next to the Crodros business building and was teleported there within a few seconds.

It was not surprising that the town was completely quiet and the roads deserted as I walked from the Crodros booth to the guild hall. Anyone who had any sense remains indoors when the green tinge appeared in the air. The walk wasn't far, but it seemed that way as I listened for any sounds and watched the shadows of any movement.

And so I end this entry here in the guild hall where I will be on duty until 5AM. Saje and Sarasvati are here as well. To pass the time while waiting for our assignments we'll likely be playing darts. Someone took copies of the advertisements featuring Gilvoth and Neloth and pasted them over the dark boards. I have to admit, those images do make the game more entertaining.

Is Vemyn behind all of these zombies, lol? The Zombie apocalypse has started in my game.

How do you set up the LLama network? Can it be done in build mode, or do you need the CAW?
