While there will likely be times when the novelty will feel like it's worn off, I really enjoyed this first day of the summer term at A.I.U. Of course taking a very light course load can do a lot to keep a person from feeling overwhelmed. As I mentioned in yesterday's entry, my first class started at 8AM this morning. Getting to class wasn't a problem at all since there is a LLAMA booth right across the road from our home. All I needed to do was punch the university's numbers into the booth's machine and off I went.

Not only does the LLAMA take me right the campus, but the booth is outside the building that holds the art classes, so I don't have a long walk at all to get to the class room. I think one of the reasons I'm enjoying this so much is because at the palace I was educated by private tutors and had no classmates. Sitting in a classroom with other students is an entirely new experience for me.

The students do not just consist of young adults. The elderly ladies known as the Three Merry Widows were there. If I live to be their age I hope to be like them. They don't just spend their days at home sitting in their rocking chairs. They get out and get involved with all sorts of things. The enrolled at A.I.U. just for the joy of learning something new.
During a break halfway through the class, the widows told me about Gilvoth and Neloth's odd bean crop. Merry Widow Manor isn't far from the Grouch House so they can clearly see that the beans are not ordinary vegetables.

Selnia, the Bosmer of the Merry Widows, commented, "Those beans almost look like they're going to explode."
Andralia, the Altmer of the group, stated, "And they are such odd colors. Very bright. Brighter than any apple, banana, or orange I've ever seen."
Demiah, the Dunmer, said, "I mentioned our concern to Aryc and he assured me that he is keeping an eye on that bean crop. There will be Oblivion to pay if Gilvoth and Neloth's beans destroy the town."
I asked, "Do you really think that could happen?"
Selnia answered, "As I said, they look like they might explode, and somehow I doubt that they would just cover Pelagiad in rainbow colors."
Demiah said, "The grouches have already had their bots harvest some beans. They loaded them into a cart and started moving them up north. Where exactly up north I have no idea."
Andralia then inquired, "Speaking of having no idea, why is Tanor in the paper again?" Looking at me, she asked, "Did you see his picture in today's Tattler?"
Afraid to hear the details, I answered, "No? How bad is it?"
Demiah explained, "He's wearing clothes, thank goodness, but the pose is odd." She took a sip of milk from her bottle (a Rosewood brand of Wonderpetal flavored milk), before adding, "He looks like he's reaching back and squeezing his own ass."
I had unfortunately been taking a drink of strawberry milk from my own bottle and almost sprayed it all over the place. At that point our break was over and I luckily managed to stop coughing before returning to the classroom.
Class was dismissed at ten and thanks to the LLAMA I was able to get back home just as Neldor had finished tending the garden. After greeting each other we headed down to the basement and got to work on today's brew of apple flavored nectar.
With the morning chores done we had some time to sit down for some lunch and a cup of tea before Neldor had to go attend his class. When I mentioned what the widows had told me about the grouches bean crop, Neldor replied, "Thorinor mentioned those to me when he called last night. Aryon and Saje both agree that those beans have been magically enhanced, but can't figure out the specific enhancement. At least not without actually examining a bean, and Gilvoth and Neloth aren't allowing anyone near their crop."

Although I hated to bring up my unwanted admirer, I stated, "Godonir said they believe these beans will drive the outlanders out of Morrowind, but he didn't know specifically how."
Frowning at the mention of Godonir, Neldor replied, "Then those beans are obviously not meant for food. At least not the good, nourishing kind."
We dropped the subject of the beans and just chatted about how good it was to finally start the summer term. Shortly before four o'clock Neldor got up and headed out to the LLAMA. The class is only a couple of hours long and he will be home by six.
After I had got out to the cow pen and given the cows their evening milking, I came back into the house and warily looked through the day's newspaper. As the Widows had said, Tanor the Sleaze was featured;
Local heartbreaker, Tanor the Sleaze, has been spending some time connecting with members of his fan club. Everyone appeared to be happy with the attention.

How in the world is this news? At one time I would asked why so many females allow Tanor anywhere near them, but by now it's obvious that individuals like Yanna and Morgana have extremely low standards. Not to mention that they don't seem to have much respect for themselves.
Speaking of Yanna, I wonder if she's still locked up. If she ever gets out she'll likely make another post to her network journal wailing about how unfairly she was treated.
Oh well, it's not my business or my concern. Neldor will be home in a little over half an hour so I need to go get dinner started; fried fish and chips followed by some strawberry cobbler (made from strawberries from our own garden of course). Neither of us have classes tomorrow so even if we're both feeling tired this evening, we'll have more time to rest and relax tomorrow.

What is Tanor wearing there? That looks like decent basic medieval outfit.
Great to see the Merry Wodows out and about.

Date: 2025-06-01 01:25 am (UTC)From:Unfortunately no. I found a post someone made about wanting to put the jelly bean bushes around but didn't want their sims to kill themselves. Another person suggested putting a fence around them with no gate (I felt so stupid when I read that). So that's what I did; a fence with no gate.
As for the recolors, yes those bushes have the different looks when you choose the retexture option.
Saje *seeing Tanor in that pose*: "It's great you're coming out of the closet, but, sorry, bro. I'm not interested."
LOL! Oh gosh, now I'm cracking up.
Tanor: *blinks in confusion* "Uh, just as well, mate. If I started swinging in the other direction a lot of the ladies around here would burst out crying."

It's from the Happily Ever After Clothing and Hairstyles set.
On the decrapified site, you can find it under CAS - Male - Outfits. It's "amBodyHumblePeasant". The other outfits that say "Humble" are also part of this set and are good as medieval attire.

Date: 2025-06-01 02:00 am (UTC)From:Yeah, it's a shame the jelly beans have to have a few deadly effects, otherwise it would be fun. I took out a couple of them out of the alchemy shop mod I use because Aryc and Amaryllis would not stop eating them. Fortunately the worse they got was being changed into different colors.
Tanor: *blinks in confusion* "Uh, just as well, mate. If I started swinging in the other direction a lot of the ladies around here would burst out crying."
Curio: "Oh, ho ho, that's the spirit! Now, if you decide to swing this way, be sure to tell your Uncle Crassius. We could have some fun with a lusty young faun like you!"
Saje: *laughs*
Thank you. There are so many medieval clothe it's hard to keep track.

Thank you. There are so many medieval clothe it's hard to keep track.
It really is. It doesn't help that some of the clothing appears in multiple sets.
