We woke up this morning to the sight of a rainbow over the Ascadian Isles. It was as though the region itself was mocking what had happened to Godonir. Needless to say, everyone is still talking about it and the images that were captured of the "Toadstool Tavern Ambush" have been put up all over town.

Before I say anything else about that subject I wanted to mention some adorable news that was reported this morning. Sifina's donkey Sable just gave birth to an adorable male foal which has been named Acorn. At first glance he makes one think of a rabbit with extremely long leg's for Acorn's ears almost look too big for him. Shortly after the news of the foal's birth was broadcasted I received a text message from Constance which said that Acorn was her charge. She would brushing him, feeding him from a bottle, and would train him when he was old enough to carry a rider. This will be a great experience for Constance and teach her a lot about responsibility.

As for my own news, I managed to pass the requirements for Expert Alchemist certification and have received my own Philosopher's Stone. Someone at the science and lore center must be aware of my favorite color, for the stone is very much like a large amethyst.

As for today's class at A.I.U.; it was difficult to concentrate because my classmates were all talking about Clever Prank beating up the local alpha werewolf. During a break I saw Saje, who had been asked to give a spell casting demonstration for the science and lore class. He told me he had spoken to Caslandra, the younger of Godonir's she-werewolves, and she had told Saje that Godonir has been released from the healing center and had come home late last night.
Admittedly curious, I inquired, "Did she say how he was doing?"
Saje answered, "She said that he has been through far worse and that it was mainly his pride that was injured. He can't stand to be humiliated, especially by those he had deemed much weaker than himself."
I replied, "That's more or less how I figured he would be responding to this."
Pinning one of his own images of the ambush on a nearby bulletin board, Saje continued, "She stressed that she and her sister don't bear any ill will toward Clever Prank, and that Godonir was overdue for a beating."
"She doesn't sound very fond of him," I commented.
Saje agreed, "I don't think she is. Caslandra doesn't hate Godonir or anything like that, but there's no real emotional attachment there. That's why she and Usanda don't feel any jealousy since Godonir has become so Oblivion-bent on getting you."
Relieved that at least the she-werewolves wouldn't be out for revenge, I asked, "So Godonir is just skulking at home licking his wounds?"
With a nod, he answered, "Caslandra said he doesn't want anyone near him right now. She also said that if Yanna knows what's good for her - and she typically doesn't - she'll stay far away from Godonir. He's blaming her for all this and if he sees her, he'll likely shove Yanna head-first into a hollow tree filled with beehives."
With a soft, wry laugh, I commented, "Typical. He's not taking responsibility for any of this."
"His kind never do," Saje replied. At that point the break was over and I had to go back to class, but I thanked him for passing along what he knew of Godonir. If that mer is once again on the loose, and obviously he is, I want to be aware of it. So should Neldor and the rest of Clever Prank. I don't claim to know Godonir well, but I don't believe he is going to slink off into the shadows and never be heard from again.
For now at least Godonir is laying low. Although the moons are full tonight, there is no howling in the surrounding hills. Obviously he has no desire to call attention to himself while still recovering from his all too fresh humiliation.
