Life in New Pelagiad continues to be interesting and entertaining. Master Neloth once again appeared in this morning's news;

"By the bloody daedra, she will pay for this!" Master Neloth was heard screaming after a bottled Oddity Bunny blew up in his face. Local nerd Ashara Siri was unavailable for comment, but was having trouble wiping a rather large grin from her face.

I commented while Neldor and I were having breakfast, "I wonder what this Ashara has against Master Neloth."

After swallowing a bite of pancake, Neldor explained, "She has plenty against him. Thorinor told me that Ashara is Sarasvati's half-sister. Not only is Neldor refusing to give up on winning Sarasvati, he also frequently causing problems for their father Master Aryon. Ashara is likely going to be playing these little pranks until Neloth backs off. Assuming he ever does."

After breakfast Neldor headed off for the guild hall to receive the day's assignment. Since I had today off I took the time to clean the house before going to my painting room on the upper level of the house and began a painting of a colorful songbird. I went with a small sized canvas since I would like to finish the painting and get it to the consignment shop as soon as possible. Every little bit of income we can generate will help us to stay ahead of our bills. Once we're able to grow crops, generating our income should become much easier.

After painting for a few hours I went to my alchemy laboratory (which is on the ground floor) and brewed a few bottles of "Potent Elixir of Bliss". Ajira told me that particular elixir is often in high demand. Many people like to drink it before starting their work day because it helps them to stay in a good mood in spite of the fact that they are indeed at work. At least it's not a complicated elixir and can usually be made with bits of fruit such as apples, which we happen to have on hand.

Ajira obviously knows what she's talking about. Less than an hour after I had dropped the elixirs off at her shop she contacted me on my hand-held crystal communicator to let me know that every bottle had been sold and she would send a courier over to my home with the payment.

While we were speaking on our communicators she told me about another possible opportunity; the local children's choir was supposed to be practicing at the theater this evening but they lacked a piano player and needed someone to fill in. When Ajira asked if I was interested I immediately accepted. Had this been for an actual show I don't think I would have been comfortable with it, but I had no problems playing for the the children's rehearsal. It was a pleasure to play the piano for them and the children sang beautifully.

So between what Neldor earned today (disposing of some large rat that a local mage had conjured and lost control of) and my own earnings, our savings is now up above a thousand septims; not enough to cover our next cycle of bills, but enough that I feel confident that we will have more than enough when the next payment is due.

Ah, one last thing before I end this entry; Aryc of Silvervale, the new leader of House Hlaalu sent me a written message through my communicator with the number for my sister's communicator. He assures me that Acacia is interested in hearing from me. Now that I am a little more at ease about our finances, I believe I'll do that. Not only would I like to get to know my sibling, I'm very curious about why she is here instead of in Mournhold. She is likely wondering the same thing about me.
